my oprod get stuck (as seen in the pic). could the oprod have been bent with firing it alot/rapid fire. it does un stick it self after i work it a few times. (near 500 rounds in 2 days) here
A bent op rod is a possiblity. Are you sure the op rod is seated in the channel on the reviecer properly? I've had mine slip out a couple times, I'm thinking it happens because of it's age related wear.
Are there any points along the op rod that you can see possibly coming in contact with the barrel or front handgaurd. And just thinking outside of the box for a second, whens the last time you cleaned the gas cylinder?
i havent cleaned the gas cylinder since i got it back in june, i cant get the gas lock screwed off and i've used the M3A1 combo tool to try. before i did the mass firing it would pass the tilt test now it hangs up in the same area as shown in the pic. [edit] now that i think about it and look over my rifle my front handguard moves alot more then it used to.. could this mean a loose gas cylinder?
A loose gas cylinder is the only thing I can think of that would result in more play with the front handgaurd. If it's not hanging up on the barrel, the I'd say the problem is either a bent op rod or something going on with the gas cylinder. You're going to have to give'r another go and try and get the screw off the cylinder.
i lubed everything by following the cmp instructions. i dont think i can go to crappy tire as seeing that i'm south of the border to you guys there is a lot of carbon build up on the op rod it self and in the bottem of the front hand guard.
