Gentlemen,
This is for many of you new guys. This file is the Order that made the M1 Garand Rifle as standard issue for our troops. However, at that point in time there have been no production line M1 Garands built. They will not come on line until July of 1937. So the USA has them but don't try to get one until 1937. There were 80 tool room models that have been built but they are test rifles made in the tool room at SA. I hope you find this file of interest.
Without input from you guys no one learns anything Try to put in some info/question and we can learn more of the M1's History.
So if some of you think you had a long wait for your M1 from CMP. Think about this guys.
