I notice that a lot of parts are listed as "M1/M1A/M14"

Are a lot of parts interchangeable for these rifles?

I am guessing that for sure the iron sights are but what else can you "swap"?

Stocks?
Rails?
Handguards?
Triggers?
Op Rods?

I am here with my eyes and ears open and im ready to learn :D

Rear sight parts, many trigger components, bolt extractor plunger/spring, extractor.... Just cannot remember any more.

Yes you can swap some parts back and forth!

No stock parts or op rod. Rails are an aftermarket commercial thing. If a rail is installed over the receiver definitely not on an M1.

Lower sling swivel , lower sling swivel screw, hammer, hammer spring, hammer spring plunger, hammer spring housing, safety , hammer pin, trigger pin,M1 trigger can be used in a semi M14 but the M1 sear is different than that on the Full auto M14.Extractor,extractor spring and plunger, clip ejector from a M1 can be shortened and used as a safety spring on a M14.All the rear sites parts will interchange (M1 is in yards,M14 is in meters).
M1 buttplates fit on very early M14's .buttplate Flapper pins are the same. The stock ferrule sling swivel on a M1 is the same swivel as found on a M14E2 grip mount. Slings are interchangeable.
I think that just about covers it, but I might have left something out .
Hope this helps.....
