I'm currently restoring an M10 Ross that was mildly sporterized at one point, but am having trouble locating wood for it. I've tried the exchange forums here on CGN, but having no luck. Anyone know of any sources I could try?

Also, any posts of online resources for Ross rifle knowledge would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

- Original wood has not been manufactured since 1917 and no one makes repro wood. So unless someone scraps an original rifle, very slim chance of finding a full lenght stock.

- If the original stock has not been sanded or slimed down below the rear band your best bet is to splice a new made forearm under the barrel band, metal bits are available from a few sources.

Try looking up the fellow from Confederation Firearms. He really came through when I de-sporterized my SMLE, he might have some goodies. He is also based out of Calgary. Alas, I have lost his phone# and no longer live in the city

Thanks for the info guys. I might have some leads.

Slicknick, I don't recall hearing of Confederation Firearms before, although it is possible I have forgotten or have a card of his around somewhere. Can you tell me any more about him?

Check with American Gunstocks. I believe they can repro the wood. Not sure on the price or shipping details to Canada. As for hardware, its E-bay or fabrication.
Best of luck & let us know how you make out.
