M10 X short handguard

I’m thinking of purchasing one, what’s all your opinions… I know that they had a little issues at first but have they been solved is the question?

From friends who have it, it's reliable and smooth. Maybe not super accurate but maybe like 3moa.
It's basically a sign 550/AK hybrid which is cool.

One thing I don't understand is why they sell the short handguard version instead of the original which went up to the gas block.

Because part of the gen 2 upgrades was a redesigned gas block that's too large to fit, plus ppl wanted more of an AK gas block look. Also has new charging handle, lower profile barrel ect. They redesigned the whole gun, not to mention its also short so the 16" and new 12" barreled restricted versions can all use the same upper

Lighter up front with the short handguard. Barrels are also lighter on the short handguard version.
