A friend of mine in the US is looking to purchase the M101 army trailer.

Does anyone know where one would find such a trailer? He's in Kentucky so Ontario would be preferable but will explore any leads.

He's also current US service man so any help to a fellow solder would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Pauli

Which M101 trailer is he after? The M101 normally denotes a 3/4 ton trailer and there were 3 different generations of this trailer (M101, M101A1 and Manac) used here in Canada. The nomenclature was also used erroneously to denote the 1/4 ton Iltis trailer (M101Cdn2).

If, as I suspect, he is after the M101Cdn2, there are some available here in Manitoba. They have generally been selling in the $1000 range these days.

I bought 28 of them back when they were surplussed. I had no problem selling all of them off within a year and without spending a penny to advertize.

I want an Iltis and a M101Cdn2!!!!

It's hard to find a good Iltis for sale - especially the ones from the Maritimes, where rust had a field day. There are a number of them around, and some parts to be found.

There's a company in BC who was advertising the German Army VW-version, pulled from service while still serviceable, I think they were around $10K.
