M10X-Z Experience Problems

I recently bought an M10X-Z short handguard version with an 18.6 inch barrel and it is very unreliable.

Every time I insert a 5 round magazine and chamber the first round, the gun fires the first shot but on the second round, I hear a click and have a failure to fire or chamber. So I have rack it again to fire, then on rounds 3-5, I have constant double feeds with two bullets jamming the chamber area constantly which requires constant magazine removals to shake out the stuck double fed rounds. This occurs with Xtech mags and US palm mags. Can anyone tell me if I need a new bolt carrier group? I am pretty sure it is not a magazine issue since they are brand new.

Can someone tell me what is wrong with my rifle? I am waiting to hear back from North Sylva for warranty support.

im surprised its happening with the new xtech vinyl mag. i wonder about the old yugo steel mag it came before.

I wanna say your mags are pinned to tight. Had this happen with magpul mags, re pinned them to 5.5 and nownits been A OK

How do I re-pin the magazines? What tools do I need? Can you provide step by step instructions? I don't want to break any mag capacity laws.

The other thing to consider is if the rivet (or what ever they used to pin the mag to limit the movement of the follower) isn't binding up the follower or the spring from actuating the follower in its travel to feed the 5 rounds reliably.

I have to laugh at all the efforts you $1900 M10X owners make to get the rifles semi reliable . Keep buying em up folks…Mike Meirs has to eat too you know …LOL

Update. North Sylva replaced my bolt carrier and now the rifle fires flawlessly with magpul pmags with 5 rounds loaded.
