Good evening everyone,

I have been looking at the stock Norinco muzzleflash attachment and was wondering if there is a market for adding the bayonet lug to these ones? Or if there is a market for making new muzzlebrakes that fit on to the stock barrel.

I would like to experiment as a hobby with this item and wonder how many others would be interested with the results. Mind you, this would be sometime in the near future but not right now. I am negotiating too many deals here on CGN to buy any equipment.:( :D

"...is a market..." Yep, but you'd be competing with proven designs and original M-14 flash hiders that already have a bayonet lug.

I was thinking about just attaching a hardened bayonet lug to the existing flashhider. There are thousands out there and if it wasn't too expensive, say $10-15 plus postage, if people would be interested in them.

I've also been interested in the muzzlebrake and if I were to buy broaching equipment, I could make it slide on like the original one, and it would have a bayonet lug.

Just thoughts that interest me as a hobby. I want to give it a try for myself and if you make one, you can make a dozen... and it's a Canadian effort. :D

It would still be some time in the future when I do have funds. I just wanted to judge interest.

I don't thing the bayo-lug would have to be too hard, it's not like most of us do a _lot_ of bayoneting. Even a mild steel lug would stand-up to the odd zombie dismembering. And I'd definatly be in to the mod of the existing FE.

Well if someone were to do something, they might as well do it properly!
Harden the sum#####!

how much do m14 bayo's cost...and where do you get them? it is the m6 bayonet correct? anyway for 15$ i would for sure be interested, but they may be difficult to make for that price.

"...how much do m14 bayo's cost..." $40ish to $65ish US. M6 bayonet. M8A1 scabbard. Friggin scabbards aren't cheap either. $13 to $20 US.
Making a lug wouldn't be terribly difficult if you have the dimensions, tooling and can weld wee parts absolutely perfectly. Otherwise, you'd have a lug that no bayonet will fit onto.
