I have never been a big fan of bipods, but most of my shooting has been at hunting ranges well under 300 yards where a fella can sling up and expect minute-of-whitetail accuracy to do the rest. I have dabbled with the Harris bipods and am thinking of putting one on my M1A for gits n' shiggles.

Problem is that since I used them last - back in the 80's and early 90's - a bunch of new models have hit the market and I don't know a thing about them. Are any of you running bipods on your M14's? Any preferences?

USGI M2 bipod for the classic M14 look, not necessarily for accuracy.

I like my M2 bipod, that's for sure ;)

Ok GI bipod, who make a good one? What about real USGI M2? How hard are they to find? I only ever came across two GI's and was able to buy one of them. Some of the clones I've owned have ranged from ok to not so good. Most are loose compared to the GI

I have a Springfield bipod I got in the late 80s. I shutter to think what they ask for them now I think I paid 200 back then.
