So far no -

It can be done with bolts and epoxy but -
The stock isnt strong enough to SOLIDLY mount the op rod guide like a Sage or AKM.

What does this acomplish? I'm of the school that there should be no contact from receiver forward till the ferule between the barrel assembly and the stock. In essence floating the barrel. I acurized my 18.5 " to these specs with awesome results.

i've tried it...... used a barrel/oprod guide block from an AKM stock..... saw no improvement. in fact it started to crack the walnut stock i used
reason it will "probably" not work in a synthetic or wood stock is that there is still flex in the stock..... there is no flex in an aluminum stock and this is why the oprod guide block works in those chassis.

All kinds of tests were done in the 1960's and 70's with marginal results. Finding? Not much after many people greased the contact point, tefloned the contact points, free floated their match barrels, etc, etc.

The bottom line? Not much helps, the jury is / was still out and nobody knows. There's nothing definitive as say, "Glass bedding your barreled action" accurizing methods that bring direct improvements.

Sorry that I cannot bring good/great news or direction on this confusing issue! I just left things alone. I did both methods, lots of tension and then greasing and then free floating. NOTHING significant for accuracy gains. That experiment did not last long, and 2 stocks later, I still did not know any more.

I presume you are referring to standard stocks.

I have had the same results -

No ferrule lip tension - great accuracy in some - poor in others -
Excessive ferrule lip tension - same same -

But the Sage, AKM system - very consistant -
