M14 help from the experts

So, I’m piecing together an all GI on Norc receiver m14 build. I bought an
M1A bolt stop and connector lock from brownells. I was under the impression that most m1a/GI small parts should be transferable on top the norc receiver. But the spec bolt stop pins I have won’t go into the bolt stop hole, and the connector lock itself is too big to fit into the connector lock slot on the receiver. Am I doing wrong, are the parts I ordered faulty or is m1a stuff not quite compatible with norc/gi receivers? Thanks

The connector pin is in fact smaller with Norc receivers. US pins must be turned down to fit. I don't see the need to change it on your build though.

The bolt stop should fit. Where are you having issues?

About the bolt stop pin...
Pin no go in hole:

Same pins fit through receiver hole. Also work on norc bolt stop and sei bolt stop.

Is that a Sprinfield M1A bolt stop?

I don't think it's one of the pins from you, either came from 'echo grunt' or brownells, yes, it's an m1a bolt stop.

It sounds like that is some more great QC from Springfield. I would contact the guys @ 7.62 as they have these in stock. ETA on deliverly should be about 2 weeks.

i've run across this issue , well at least with USGI roll pins... (echo grunt's) , they go into the bolt stop either super tight or they don't go at all
i've polished them with emery cloth in the dremel hehehe or just use the original rinco pin if you have it still.
