M14 Loads????

I am using 165 gr Speer Deep Curl bullets in Winchester casings, cci 200 primer, with 45.0 gr of Varget. I have only just worked up the load and found that 5 shot group to be 1.5"-2" with 3 out of the 5 right around the 1" mark. Its a bone stock Norinco with a Basset standard low mount and a Redfield 3-9x40 scope. This was with no wind at about -10C.

I've loaded some with BLC-2 and will see how that works out also (just 'cause I have some one hand and want to use up)
 
You hit the nail on the head there Rocket....or it was me seeing through the scope and getting excited about an excellent group and screwing it up....either way, I'd sure like to know who the Murphy is in "Murphy's Law"....I'd have a few words for him
