Greetings all you CGNers and M14 type rifle owner's out there. I just wanted to share with you the experience I had looking for a decent cheek pad for my newly scoped M305. The business I purchased from is not on CGN, so I hope I'm breaking any rules by mentioning them here. Most of the options out there were either too expensive ($80 or more plus shipping!), out of stock or required me to drill holes in my stock to install. After alot of searching I stumbled across a business called CoyoteM1A, a Canadian owned and operated company in the Greater Vancouver area that custom makes strap on cheek pads to order. So I emailed their customer service department, placed my order and was able to meet the owner in person to make the exchange. The whole process took only 4 days. I was very impressed with the overall quality, not to mention the stellar customer service I received. So bottom line, if you need a Cheek pad for your M14 or any other type of rifle, check out CoyoteM1A. You'll get a great product and be supporting a small Canadian business.

Can the owner PM me? I've got an SA m1a super match, only reason I mention is it's got an oversized walnut stock, hard to find a reliable cheek pad.

I will look into this. When I get my Scout, I do want to get a CASM rail and scope it. I have been worried about the rise needed to make a scope viable on this rifle/rail combo. With the different levels of rise that he offers, this just might suit my needs perfectly! Thanks for posting. I did not know about this supplier.

X2! Thank you

Ya, too bad he's not a dealer... Doubly too bad there isn't a true "small business" membership option here. A LOT of small outfits across our country with awesome product that can't justify the cost of advertising on some of the gun forums.
Never heard of CoyoteM1A cheekrests but I'd love to try one out. I make my own out of kydex I have on hand for varios hobby use and getting tired of that route these days.

He's heard of you, your name came up when I picked up my order. If you do another clinic in the lower mainland there's at least two of us interested.

I've made one as well but out of ABS plastic. Works just as good as Kydex and cheaper.

Hehe I bought 100 3ft x4ft kydex sheets 5 years ago at surrey plasticworks for 5 bucks each ;)
Was farrr to good to pass up.
I was gonna make kydex rests and sell them way back when but Tacpro and others where doing it and I figured why bother.
I use it for all kinds of projects from the jeep to the boat to you name it.
*edit to add : I have no kydex for sale LOL

Go to www.coyotem1a.com/contact_us.php and send him an email, he got back to me within hours. Because he's not a paying business member on CGN, he's prohibited from selling his wares on the forum.

You might be interested in knowing you just broke the rules by hot linking. You are not allowed to promote someone else's business and he cannot use the PM system to conduct business. Ask me how I know. ACP King is right. There needs to be a more affordable solution for the little guy just starting out.
