I find myself faced with a decision and I have no idea who to ask I hope I can get some help here. Plane and simple which one is better and why?

Custom M-14 Aluminium Stock Exclusive to Marstar!

or

TROY M14 Modular Chassis Systems (MCS)

Keep in mind the marstar one is alot less money than the troy.

Wrong fourm.
Try Battle rifle fourm.

I think it all depends on what you want to do with it. If you are going to chop the barrel and make it look more cqb then go for a troy. If you want it to be a long range tacticool looking rig the go with th AKM that marstar or froniter sells. But if you want something that is total custom and out of this world original and made just for you talk to M14Doctoc on this web site. I have seen him make some stuff that I still have no idea how he came up with it and is totaly out of this world cool!
Thats just my 2 bits.

Have you handled an aluminum chassis rifle? In my experience they are made to be sold, not made to be carried. A fellow would need to change gloves every week if he was humping one of them around. There are just too many sharp edges! AND, I find them extremely muzzle heavy. The idea is to point the rifle at the target, not at your toes. But if you must have one, buy Canadian.

yup i sold off my troy..... passed on a smoking (450.00) deal on a JAE.....

the AKM is o.k. but heavier yet than a troy...... is essentially a clone of a sage for it's mounting features.....

I run a boyd's nutmeg laminate walnut type 2 stock for my "sniper" build and a highly customized, railed, ar buttstocked and pistol gripped fiberglass stock of my own design for my hunting/tac rifle/s**tzngigglez rifle ;)

That said, if you are facing a decision between a troy MCS ...... and a AKM ..... I'd take the troy hands down regardless of the price difference
