So I've noticed on my norinco m305 that since I switched the stock to a Troy dmr that when the magazine is inserted the op rod is pushed forward slightly removing pressure for the op rod locking pin allowing it to free float. Once free floating the pin will move over and once the magazine is released the op rod will come loose into the mag well. Any help??

You could get a USGI connector lock & pin, it sticks out further than the Norc one. TreelineM14 has them.

I've done a little more inspection and it's the lower troy stock that's the issue. On the m305 stock it blocks the latch from coming out. Must be a variant thing.

Keep your Commie made Rifle all Commie and use a piece of Choo Wood from the Norinco Stock for the Popsicle stick.

Yeah I've seem that recommendation. Was hoping for a little more of a proper fix than glueing a Popsicle stick in a gun. Lol

take a centre punch and give the side of the action a good dimple next to the side of the locking pin. making it harder for the pin to back out.
