I bought a batch of extra magazines from a site sponsor and was looking for some advice. 2 out of 5 of the magazines dont fully seat (click). Should i return these magazines or is there a way i can make them fit, via lapping or filing the notch where required? have 2 norcs, and the problem occurs in both on the same mags.

Cheers

I have the same problem with one of mine that i bought what should i do i would feel safer returning it but i dont want to pay for shipping.
Any M14 clinics in Ontario?

I had one or two like these , sometimes the back latch on the magazine isnt flush .

I used a fine sharpening stone on the back to remove the lip then did a few passes around the outside edges of the latch thing . Worked perfect ..

However i also noticed that after installing a NM oprod guide that inserting NEW magazines was also a little more difficult but same thing as above , just smooth them out .

I've had a few like that and I would just give it a stroke with the file and check fit. Normally they are pretty close. My last was literally 3 strokes out of spec.

I just did one yesterday. It worked good on my one M14, but you had to jiggle it to make it catch on my other one. Again, a few strokes with a file on the bottom of the lug on the mag and life was good.

I called the dealer and they said send it back and they would even pay for the shipping.
IMO MARSTAR has been great to deal with. I will reserve comment on those who have not been so pleasent.
