Hey all

Just wondering how much you guys and gals :) have modded your Norincos. What have you added or planning to ad?
So far I have addred Rooster33 spring guide. I have ordered tactical bolt release, navy front sight and cheek pad also courtesy of Rooster33. I have DaveGP pistol grip stock beeing made that will be painted by Skullboy in Subdued Desert Camo. :p I was thinking about replacing some if the springs with USGI ones.
What do you think?

Change the rear windage and elevation knobs... EVEN if your not going to use them ever, I always want a backup and the old irons will do just fine in a pinch...

Cheers

First thing on my list is getting an actual M14!
But then I'd get a USGI fiber glass stock with R33 cheekrest, R33 Spring guide, navy front sight (does Rooster make these?), chop the barrel to 18.75", add an R33 FH, and make a SA style scout mount and then get some sort of dot sight.
Oh, and I forgot to mension all this requires money which I do not have!

USGI Sythetic stock
R33 cheekpeice
R33 tactical latch
R33 op rod guide
Springfield Arms SOCOM mount and handguard
Aimpoint ML & ARMS M68 mount

CQB SOLUTIONS tactical sling

IMHO I am happy with the NORINCO trigger group and bolt, the rear sight should also ne swaped for USGI. But since I dont use the irons it can wait. Over all a very good rifle and basis for mods, mods and mods.

I think a SAGE KIT would be fun too.

Unfortunately I have no digital camera so therefore no pictures.

USGI fiberglass stock - not bedded yet
Fulton Armory NM barrel
USGI gas system
TiNi NM gas piston
Rooster33 NM op. rod guide
USGI op. rod guide spring
TRW bolt complete
HR-N trigger group
Leeper's scope mount fitted/shimmed by me to lock down tight and straight.

Most of the parts were bought from GG&FB and the barrel was installed and indexed with the help of Hungry. All is really tight and perfectly within specs. The bling is on the inside of this rifle and it's a tack driver. :D

I shimmed mine, and unitized the gas system. Man, what a difference!

I put on a Springfeild mount too. Having a USGI stock seems to help as well.

Thanks for the info guys. Some awesome M14's here Any hints where can I get USGI springs?

GG&FB left some USGI op rod springs with me while he is gone.

IIRC, they are around $10.00 shipped.I will check on that for you.

SKBY.

I would like to see a picture of the DaveGP stock or a link to a website please. Anybody have one of these?

If you have two USGI op rod springs that you would like to sell I am interested in them Skullboy. Please PM if you want to sell me them.
