Hi guys! I've been compiling parts for a Norinco M14 project I'm planning to build shortly, it's my first rifle project. I ordered an SEI op rod spring guide from Armtac and I was planning to pick up Tubbs spring, but I've given up trying to order it, no luck contacting them or buying online. Anyone out there had any luck getting Tubbs springs? What are my other options for a high quality, US diameter spring?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Mike

I've noticed between my three norincos there's definitely a difference in spring rate. Apparently they'll weaken even further after use. I plan to buy new springs from s&j. They are $15 each. Their spring/spring guide package is cheaper than what I paid for my spring guide alone.

If you want to upgrade with quality parts without the hassle of importing US made stuff, look no further than S&J hardware
I used to be all about Sadlak spring guide rods and wolfe or tubbs springs.
that was until one of our fine and respectable CGN dealers stepped up to the plate and offered a Canadian product a cut above the rest (of the Canadian suppliers)

do yourself a favour and check out S&J hardware, it's M14doc approved ;)

Norinco uses a slightly smaller spring, so if you replace the guide with a US guide you have to replace the spring too. Plus I've heard a higher quality spring is a good thing

I have the black feather guide spring so there is no fitting issue, my question was more about the spring rate.

Spring ordered from S&J, thanks all!
I love ordering a Canadian made spring from a Canadian company...
