M14 scope mounts - So, what's the best bang for bucks?

After a long and very instructive read of GG&FB post on M14 scope mounts, this left me even more confused than I was before reading (too much information is nearly just as bad than not enough ;)).

I'm interested in those 3 points scope mounts and was wondering which was the best for the money, as opposed to the absolute best one regardless of the price. The ARMS #18 seems quite good and has a pricetag of 175$US (using US$ as a base for comparison), Smith Ent mount seems as good, but is much more expensive (275$US), etc...

I personally find that the ARMS seems to be the best for quality/price ratio, but I wonder what you guys think about that.

P.S. If this subject has already been discussed (couldn't find it, but we never know), please feel free to redirect me and trash this thread.
 
Go for the Smith Mount. I have used them all and the Smith is the best.

There have been issues with ejected cases hitting the side of the ARMS #18 mounts and falling back into the action causing a stoppage.The ARMS mount sits much lower over the action then the Smith.
