As far as the law regarding suppressors is that If any device that is added to a firearm that reduces the sound DB level it is a prohibited device .If the device doesn't reduce the sound Db Level it is not regarded as prohibited device and there fore intent plays no part in the Law

I have been following this thread with interest it amazing the ignorance of the law that some people have many wish we had no firearms in public and did not publish photos of our Firearms because it may reflect negativaly on us.Censorship is still Censorship no matter the reason. BTW I challenge you to a Joust my fellow Knight Ha Ha Ha

You could always find a sensor somewhere, or even just record it digitally and see if it actually does make it quieter at all (I don't think it would since it's just empty tubing with no baffles in it), but to do that you'd run the risk of it blowing up and of it actually working which would both be bad situations to be in... I definately wouldn't want to try it, but I would be interested in the results...
