M14 Single point mount

A friend of mine gave me an M14 single point mount. It fits well and feels really tight, I'd like to play around with it but its missing a rail to put the rings on, anyone know where I could get one?

Why coulden't you go and buy a rail made for a flat top reciever and drill holes in it that line up with the two on the M-14 mount? I remember a rail for a .303 SMLE that was flat for the most part, you would have to cut the end off of it. There must be another reciever that is flat.
