OK here we go.

Just abused the old Visa card over the last couple of days and I'm looking for some help putting all the pieces together properly. Working on a budget so I'm trying to do all the work myself.
Here's how the story goes. It all started when I brought my Norc M14 to the gunsmith to have it shortened to 18.5", install a Smiths arms muzzle brake and gas lock front sight. That was supposed to be the end of it (getting the gun back on Tuesday) Then the tread about "To cut, or not to cut, that is the question. " started and Sharkson post pics of his shortened M14's with the scout set up and that's about the same time my credit card start to take a real beating. So now there's a bushnell holosight, a springfield scout mount and M1A synthetic stock on there way to my mailbox. (all used)
Now for the questions

1- is there any installation instructions for the scout mount (torque, locations, loc tight no loc tight) or is it "wherever it fits right and tighten to half a turn past snug"

2- does the M1A stock need any work done to it for the Norc action to fit. There's an thread by Scullboy about the USGI stocks but I didn't think the M1A stock was the same.

This new toy is getting expensive, as Hungry would say "I hope my #### doesn't fall off"

the synthetic stock will probably need to be built up inside to prevent the op rod spring guide lock from backing out.

your handguard will need to be dremelled for the scout mount (unless that was incl w/ the mount)

the usgi stock should look similar to this once it has been modifies to suit norc action. selector hole area filled and profiled, frward end of receiver bedded and oprod spring guide pin area filled and raised to stockline. this one is finished in O.D. krylon

Thanks.^^^

Anyone have anything on the mount?
I've got time the gunsmith say's sometime next week before I get the gun back now. (3 weeks seams kind of long of a wait for cutting back a barrel) And I'm still waiting on the stock and mount.
