Hello all,
I recently acquired a Norinco M14 and I'm wondering how many different types of stocks are out there.

What are they called?
Where to get them?
How much?

If anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

USGI fiberglass ~200$
Troy (if you can get one) >1000$
SAGE >1000$
SAGE chopmod >1000$
JAE~800$

its really expensive stuff in most cases. I have SAGE and used to have JAE, both are great options and improve accuracy on its own. Pretty much all (except USGI) stocks employ some kind of improvement in stock attachment to receiver or in barrel support. Or alternatively, you can read stickies and improve wooden stock by glass bedding or attaching folder. I like that Lazerus's DIY guide on making folder for M14.

your best bet unless you to HAVE ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES is the usgi fiberglas if you can find one- all the rest make the gun HEAVIER - but i like an m14 to LOOK LIKE an m14- not a star wars contraption

Since I cut my own hair, I AM a cheeep bastard, so the USGI fair condition stocks in scratched up fiberglass get my nod, then I wrap many layers of kevlar cloth around them to get a fat bastard McMillan Welfare styles fat National Match stock.

Dammit Hungry, now you've piqued my curiosity! Got any photos?

(of the stock, that is, not your hair :) )

TROY MCS Chassis is $825 plus applicable tax & shipping, and it is in stock.

oh my...... pigs must be flying cause i really didn't figure those would land at a canadian retailer...... that is just awesome news :dancingbanana:
i like the custom stocks i make in fiberglass..... but for a full tactical rigged shorty...... the troy mcs is the only aluminum chassis stock i'd consider. I wouldn't use it for hunting, just strictly for..... well.... damn it would look cool :D

LOL I've already sent an email to see if he has the Tan ones in stock.

And I am taking mine out huntin for at least one day to see if I can freak out some of the old timey hunters back home :)
