Be Warned, some of those M14 stocks going for cheap prices are usually beat to death, chipped, and possibly cracked.
I bought a few of the cheaper "fair" condition ($16.05 U.S.) stocks from Numrich a couple years ago and they were in poor to fair condition. They needed a LOT of TLC before painting. One was even cracked at the fore end.
IMHO, the only stocks to buy are the ones that are good (the minimum) to excellent/unissiued).
I have had a batch of the excellent/unissued stocks and they were easy and quick to get prepped for paint.Saves time and frustration!!!
Keep in mind parts sources are drying up and all the M14 parts come up from the U.S, so sometimes you have to take what you can get.
