M14 Value?

Thinking of selling an M14 type rifle and wondering what a fair price would be.
Norinco receiver, Boyds walnut stock(new). All other parts are USGI. HR Barrel with T.E. approx 1, HR trigger housing and op rod. Bolt is TRW. All parts are in very good condition.

As described, I would allocate value as follows:

Receiver: $400
USGI Bolt: $300
USGI Oprod: $200
USGI Trigger assembly: $175
USGI rear sight: $125
USGI Gas system: $125
USGI flash suppressor: $100
USGI bbl: $100

So in part alone you have about $1525 worth of rifle and I've not listed everything. Then there's gunsmithing bills to build the gun, value of the stock, etc.

Given we rarely get out of a rifle what we've put in, there is a depreciation factor as well.

Safe guess though is it's probably a $1500-1700 rifle as-is.
 
But who built it..... and was it done properly.....
i would agree with claven, and say in the 1700.00 ballpark.
also, how does it shoot, if it groups 2 inches or under at 100 , and could be further tweaked to dial it down..... perhaps 2000.00 is not unreasonable
 
I haven't seen a GI barrel go for $100 in a really long time. You're looking at $200 -250 these days.
 
Not sure why that is, really. IMHO the Chinese barrels are actually just fine compared to a GI. if you want match performance though, you need to go to a non-chrome lined bbl.
 
I pulled off a 3'' three shot group @300m the other day with my Winnie barrel. I love the smell of MOA in the morning!!:D

I believe that the rifle was assembled at a shop by the name of Dycor.
I have not shot it in some time, and even then I did not shoot it much. I do recall that it was accurate and getting under 2" at 100 with Hirt FMJ was no problem.
I should take it out to confirm!

Sounds like a shooter trigger. If she's all GI I agree with I<3M14's call of 2000 bucks:)
