Anyone have one of these stocks?

I don't know why they arent more common,,to me they are the best looking, most practical wood stock for shooting with a scope,,

Where would one buy one of these beauties, without buying the whole gun from Springfield?

They are made by boyds for Springfield Armory. I've heard springfield will sell them direct if you call them and they are around $600. I don't know if they will ship to Canada. You will have to call them and find out.

Call me cheap but for $600, one could probably make something just as nice that would work and still look great out of a standard wood stock but for a hell of a lot less!

I've read that Boyds makes them specifically for Springfield Armory, specifically for their M21s. In other words they Springfield sub contracts their stock manufacturing to Boyds. Boyds doesn't sell that stock to the public. Too bad.

Buy 2 boyds unfinished M1A stocks and an adjustable cheek kit from brownells. Have a good woodworker use the two stocks to make 1 finished version. You'll come in around 400. Cnd. Have done this myself for a couple guys.
