Are these new .22rf plinkers available yet in Canada? they look like a very nice addition to the .22 military look-alikes, and best part is that they're not overly expensive. Pictured below is my favorite, borrowed directly from their website at http://www.centerfiresystems.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=862

Check it out. mauser

They are not new. The one you've pictured was imported in Canada by Ruko, and is nothing more than a Phillipino knock off of the old Squires Bingham wearing new furniture.

I feel dirty now.

You would do better to start with a modern Ruger, Remington, Savage or Marlin semi-auto, some blocks from the woodbox and black spray paint. The Squires Brighams are at least 30 years old and nothing more than tarted up conventional semi-auto .22LRs.

I thought there were a no-no because of how they look. What is the status on these according to CFC?

The Squires/Ruko AR15 and similar looking pieces of #### are non-restricted, all the AK types are prohibited, some AR15 look alikes are restricted like the Jager AP74.
Just buy a 10/22 and dress it up in a Krinker/Plinker kit if you want something cool and reliable and non-restricted.

here,s mine mauser a squires bingham with some dress up parts. i would take the advice of the other members and get something else seeing the parts for these are getting very hard to find. i have found a place in the states that have parts but won,t ship to canada. if you post a want ad in the sellers section you might find one. i had someone one this board want to sell me his.

Here's my stock S&B M-16R. It's non restricted ans very far from a POS reguardless of what some people might think:rolleyes: I've never had an issue with mine and find it to be quite an accurate little plinker. It'll even feed/fire subsonics reliably even though it's ment for high velocity rounds.

Though motoman has a point about parts. Espeshally extra mags.
