M16A1 build...what lower?

I am building an M16A1 clone,and was wondering what I could use for a lower on it. I would like to keep it all Colt if possible,but I haven't found a lower that looks as close to a M16A1 lower...looking for a full fence SA lower.

You need a A1 lower, which has a little less meat at the back of it. The only people that make one is Nodak and he isn't registered with the US State Dept, so it's a no go.

That is what my reaserch has come up with also...so looking for as close as possible to A1 style.

I Run Guns apparently is working on bringing an in house A1 style lower to market. Not sure where that plan is.

Keep an eye on the EE they come up from time to time

i used an armalite m15 lower and the colour and look is very authentic. not if you get into the lines, machine changes, etc, but it looks good and was available.

Pac West Arms (PWA) also used an A1 style lower on their early rifles. The used market is really the only place you'll find an A1 style lower. Failing that an SP1 would be your best bet but it has no fence.
