OK guys, lets ID the aircraft in the last picture.
Shucks, I'll spill the beans.
It is a De Havilland Dragon Rapide.
 
Part of the vet's story.
An American that enlisted in RAF Ferry Command in Montreal before the U.S entered the war.







This photo was taken before an ammunition delivery to Egypt in advance of the Battle of El Alamein in Oct 1942



This is where they flew.

Okay, it's a spectacular Colt 1911A1 and story regarding the vet who was in Ferry Command, etc.

However, you've posted this about 5 different times on the Milsurp discusson forum here.

So, sorry but thread locked as a 'repost'.
