Some time back I bought a Inland .45 M1911A1 Gov't model, GI WWII clone.
Not quite clone though, for they had the Colt style Series 80 FP safety.
So at a gunshow recently I bought the TJ's shim kit ($10) for conversion to Series 70.
Took about 15 mins all up, and I shaved off about 450g of trigger pull. So less friction, less moving parts = more reliability.
I'm not after a target pistol, as I sometimes CCW with this, or at best do instinctive/practical shooting.
Anyways, much happier overall with the gun.
