From reading in the board no machine gun parts can be imported from the USA. Does anyone know first hand if this is the case? Or could either of the 7.62x39 or 7.62x54R m1919 conversion kits from barrel exchange (in the USA) be imported with the help of questar or another importer?

Perhaps Stencollector would be in the know on this issue?

if the original sideplate has been replaced with a true semi only one, is it really MG parts any more?

in the eyes of the us government yes

I have a semi 1919 and broke a small part on the LHSP it guides the feed paw anyways it was a $5.00 part and 2 of the us exporters who had the part said NO GO

luckey i found 2 here in canada and fixed it

you wont get a parts kit approved but you coulld try a semi cal conversion kit worst there gonna do is say NO

try sarco they have the export permits

but they were not able to help me 2 years ago...... (state depart said no)

just google them they have an international export department and they will know right away if its legal for export if it is they will gladly ship it to you OR tell you if it needs a permit$$$ or flat out no way

HINT DO NOT ask for browing 1919 MG parts

ask for parts for a semiauto 1919, it may make a difference if the us gov allows semi 1919 exports.....

a few years ago I called and asked to place an order for M16A1 stock grip and handguards, NOPE they cant ship M16 parts and he hung up

I called back and asked for ar15 SP1 stock grip and handguards....no problem
