I realize that this is probably the wrong forum for this type of question but i am not sure where to ask it so here goes ... :)

I have a M1897 winchester shotgun , i understand there is a demand for these for the cowboy shoots .. anyone have a rough idea of what these are selling for . This one is in quite nice shape for its age and all original ..i am going to sell it but have no clue as to value . Any help would be appreciated .

Most 97s are the plain jane version, plain barrel, plain wood, and not in very good shape, Epps usually has a few on their site for around $325, if yours is in "good" shape or better, it would be worth more, or if it has special features such as a Trap gun, etc.(Diamond model), I'm sure you know the value of '97 Trench Guns!
 
I've bought a number of Winchester 97's. Depending on the condition and modifications made by the previous owner you can buy one from anywhere from $325.00 to $450.00. 2 years ago I bought a beautifully reblued 1913 manufactured Win 97 with a 28" tube (which I immediately had cut back to 18 5/8" and a choke installed) for $350.00
 
I must be just lucky, the 3 I've purchased over the last couple years have all been had for 150 all in good to very good condition other than the last one which has cracked wood and a little exterior pitting.
