m1a/m14/m305 mag question.

I just picked up a couple mags which are unmarked. 5/20 capacity. The bottom plate was tack welded, the welds were cut then spray painted black.
Are these just cheap made in China mags.
Any idea what these are?

I believe they are norinco, i have mags that are tack welded as well but they run nice no problems. Some have a rivet near rear catch that seem not to work aswell and are difficult to remove from rifle.

I have had problems with the tack welded Nork mags (usually come with the 18.5" shorties). Sometimes the tab is a bit high or low, which can cause feeding issues in some rifles....

The bad ones seem to show up once in a while.... Not often enough to call it "regular", but somewhere around 1 in 20.....

But I would try them, I am usually able to match a dodgy mag to a rifle, and they may be absolutely fine!
