Decided to go with this concept for one of my 18.5 inch M14's..
1) Smith Enterprise Weaver mount
2) Leupold QRW low or med 30mm rings
3) Leupold Mark 4 1.5-5x20mm MRT M2 ILL w/SPC reticle
4) JAE100 brown stock (Incoming)
5) US Coast Guard style brake

It would look similar to this...

Any comments welcomed & I know some CGN members have this concept on their rigs...

Thats the type of setup I am looking at with the leupold scope. I just don't have the cash for it yet :) So in the mean time I bought a Sunclear knock off I'm gonna try till fall.

I've used the 3-9 and 1.5-5 MR scopes and like them but I'm thinking the 2.5-8 M2 would be the best of the three but I haven't tried it out just yet.

I'm actually kinda copying from Skooch & ThrottleMonkey1's M14 Socom idea..

For now it'll be without a highend stock, but definately incoming.

Airborn whats one of them stocks worth?

Beaucoup bucks $$, 1000$ to be exact..I know now that Wolverine Supplies will be carrying them which is a contributing dealer on this website & if course the infamous banned HWSNBN from calgary orders' em also.

As for myself, it would my last piece of my M14 Socom project..hopefully this summer I'll have one.

I installed my NF 2.5-10x24 on it, using ARMS#18 with #22 rings.
So far I like the setup, I will try it at 300yrds this summer.

Skooch has the same setup I'm getting & he hits the gong at 500M no problem on 5x...You would have twice the power in optics, so I'm sure you could hit it even further if you push it good.

1.5 would give you an edge in CQB tactics vs 2.5 power which would be more adquate in a battlefield setting.

nice set-up!
