m1a rear sight assembly

You could try treeline (they are in the states), but they ship orders under $100 before shipping to canada. Luckily both the italian m1a sights and the usgi ones are under $100 before shipping

Spcamno on here sells them ,,, There are 2 versions , one in yards and one in meters . I believe the ones from Italy are the ones in meters .

During the 1950s, Beretta produced Garands in Italy at the behest of NATO, by having the tooling used by Winchester during World War II shipped to them by the U.S. government. These rifles were designated Model 1952 in Italy, and eventually led to variants of their own, the best known of these being the BM59 series

"...the M14 was..." Doesn't matter. M-14 parts are restricted for export. Has to be M1 Rifle or M1A sight only. M1 Rifle sight are indeed in yards. That's not a big deal though.
"...italian m1a sights and the usgi ones..." No such thing as either. 'M1A' is a trade mark.

Over the years I competed with M14 and M1A rifles between Connaught (meters) and Borden Ranges (yards); I hardly noticed much difference between my sight settings that were written down in my logbooks.

Okay maybe a click here or there. Otherwise I never paid much attention to the meters versus yards issue on my sight elevation knob.

What is more important is how repeatable those sights are, hence my desire to throw out the Norc set immediately upon degreasing a new rifle in its plastic bag with those goofy oily cotton balls.

Just get rid of them and replace the knobs with properly machined M1 garand or Springfield armory wind age and elevation knobs. Now your iron sights are ready for zombies.

Cheers and enjoy the Addiction by helping the newbies!!
