I am building a DMR style rifle and am looking for suggestions on which scope I should be looking at.
I am looking for something with the following features.
A wide magnification range. Starting around 2.5 or 3 and going up to 15 or so.
A front focal plane mildot reticle with mildot turrets
Illuminated would be nice.
Side parallax
I don't mind spending some money, but I'd like to not spend more than 1500 tops.
Any suggestions would be awesome! Thank you

Budget $$ available?

Shooting game? Home range marksmanship? Competition locally or regionally or provincially ?

I'm a Mark 4 bztch so I have a personal bias already. NF or US Optics or Sightron or SB folks can chime in anytime...

Enjoy the addiction...

My budget is about 1200-1500. I am looking to do about 800m. Not really worried about competition so much. Here isn't much of that around me that I can attend.
More of just for fun.

I've heard the m1a semis really knock around a scope for some reason, I'd think the bushnell might take the punishment well, minox may make a scope that fits the bill well too.

I've run a Leopold Mk4 on my dmr-ish M14 setup for years now, it's held up well. You can get them now with mil based reticles and turrets but you'll be over budget if you want FFP. Maybe have a look at the NF SHV 4-14F1. It's a bit over your budget ($1650ish) but is durable, ffp, mil based reticle and turrets, zero stop and illuminated. Another option could be one of the Bushnell Elite DMR 3.5-20s.
