Hello,

Firstly, I like to say what a great site this is!

Secondly, I have a question for the experts. Does anyone make a folding stock for the sage or troy M14 platforms or a folding/collapsable combination?

Thirdly, a hypothetical question. If you got your hands on a springfield armories M1a supermatch to base your platform on and you wanted a 18.5" barrel. Would you get the barrel cut down or have a 18.5" barrel added to it. I would think that cutting the barrel is the cheaper option but is it the best on?

Thank you,

Sean

Cutting down a super match barrel? You're kidding right? Sell the rifle and buy a norinco chop-mod. Or trade the current one for a springfield socom scout.

Sell the super match barrel for several hundred and get a Criterion 18.5" standard profile or medium profile. This the route I have taken.
The only time I have taken the parting tool to high end barrel was with a springfield armory NM medium contour.... The muzzle had been badly damaged and was useless unless cut and recrowned.

Cut down a Super Match barrel ?

Spend $ 400 and get yourself a cheap Norc to cut down into a ChopMod or some sort. Put down that hacksaw! heh heh heh :D

I can sell ya a great Norc M14 barrel for $ 100 mailed to you! Get an expert like M14Doctor to do the work and you will be happy! :) Then when you sell that Super Match barrel, your costs for the project are covered!

Cheers,
Barney

Send me your barrel and I'll send you a new 18.5" barrel to put in your rifle. As for a folding stock option google ACE Stocks.
