M2 Carbines

How common are M2 Carbines?
A guy called me about one a few days ago and said he may be selling one.
I haven't noticed any for sale on the site, has anyone noticed them coming up for sale?

The problem of course is many guys don't know they have one, and those marked with M2 on the reciever are prohib. It would be interesting to know how many unrecognized M2's are in Canada.

I see very few M2s for sale in the EE. I don't know if I've even seen one.

The market for CA's is small and even smaller for a rifle that you can have a restricted or non-restricted version of.

Back in the good old days (the 60's) I remember a gunsmith in Delhi Ontario had a M2 Carbine hanging on his wall, at the gun shop. No trigger lock or such, just on the wall in the customer area.... Ah the good old days...

there are a few around

remember ONLY Inland and winchester made them (usgi that is)

useing that old ottawa citizen registry search I get 86 m2 carbines

im sure there are more but who knows what they are listed as.....

showing 47 FA m2's

and 38 converted autos

Going back a long way, I was issued one! Unfortunately they wanted it back. Governments are no fun at all.
