Does your bolt have the notch or no notch?.

If you can get it down on the lifter and one in the chamber you are there/if the bolt will go past a round on the lifter, you are good.

CR - This is a brand new M2 carrier w/ two notches. V in the front and U in there rear.
Pauls - I would agree with you that the rear U notch on this new carrier doesn't seem as deep/wide as the "before" picture. Could just be the effect of the close-up picture too, but I doubt it.
Looks like the bit of his dremel got away from him as well.
Next up is waiting for my order of Nordic parts to come in. Working on getting a TTI AccuGuide Extended Carrier imported (Brownell's won't export it). Stippling job tomorrow pm after the am at the range. Maybe start working/polishing on the loading port opening.

Casey will be doing all of the work on my M2 in early December, including the Taran Tactical AccuGuide (Vs welding it), opening & polish the loading port, installing a TT trigger spring and tuning it, polish/port lifter gate, TT safety & bolt release, etc. I should be getting my Nordic Comp tube/bolt handle/barrel clamp in the next few weeks from Brownells.
All in all it should make for a nicely tuned M2. Only small piece missing in a couple of extended chokes. Stocks ones are fine, but they are flush fit.

Nope it wasn't much. I should have taken a before... it's basically a small "U", I simply used a fine stone and eyeballed 45degrees and went at it to match the front (mirror it.) Finished it up with a bit of polish-wax and buffing wheel.
Surprised at how easy it was and how well it works.
I've owned several different makes over the years and I've never had a shotgun that could so easily float a 3" shell.
