M24 Tactical Intervention Sling

Another happy Farmboy customer here! I bought the M24 sling from him a few months ago for my PSS, and I absolutely love it. Hsld, it came complete with the sling.
Sunray: it's a name:rolleyes: It is a fantastic sling, and I can't imagine any other type on my PSS.

Sunray, These aren't called "Tactical Intervention slings" so your right they don't "intervene"on anything, thats the name of the company, Tactical Intervention Specialists. Second, the sling is called the M24 model. Third, if you need a sling wrapped around your arm to kill a whitetail at 50 yards you can't shoot worth a ####. Finally, the term "tactical" is overused and is stapled to everything possible in order to market it to a different crowd as something that its not but just as sure as a PGW Timberwolf is "tactical"in every sense of the word so is the M24 sling by TIS.

Or is the Timberwolf just a dressed up hunting rifle?

Sunray, Tactical Intervention is a SWAT/Tactical Term. I am not into marketing, but please take a look at the sling before you commment. You might actually learn something. Slings can do many things you have not thought off. Someone trained with a M24 sling will make your head spin with how fast and how accurate they can shoot. They where designed to hunt that game that hunts back but they work well on four legged game as well.

Highspeed, the Quick Cuff and M24 slings come with a detachable arm cuff. The Slip Cuffs are a more traditional style that dont have a detachable cuff. They use a built in cuff type system, like a modern 1907 design.

Sunray, I know others have already added their thoughts about the m24 sling and the use of "tactical intervention", and if it was just anybody I would agree with you on the marketing and overuse of the "TACTICAL" term. However, I suggest you peruse www.snipercountry.com if you check the Roster and the Archives you will see that Mike and his products and opinions are well respected among those contributing. I only read the board because I dont know enough to contribute, but among those who do, you will find many police and military snipers with a wealth of knowledge. Some day I hope to know half as much as they have forgotten. I only wanted to post this to make sure everyone recognized the fact that Mike is not some marketing schmoe hawking his wares, but is a BTDT guy and is worthy of respect. While everyone has a right to disagree, I would hate for people to assume this is just another keyboard kommando talking (typing) big.

I've had one of Mike's sling for several years (pre 2000) - They rock. I have used it on a AR10, C7CT, a few bolts guns etc.

The CF bought several a few years ago as well...

Question regarding the issue at hand here... Pardon the ignorance, but does the M24 sling (as sold) come with the cuff included or does it have to be purchased separately? I'm thinking about picking one up to compare - only sling I've got at the moment is a leather Les Tam 1907 style. Thanks guys.

If you want to borrow mine and try it out, drop me a line.
