there were loads of them in Canada at one time . all were deactivated and sold for scrap. with the F-86 Sabres. the funny thing is we use them again now on the Helicopters, I wonder how much that cost the tax payers.

this M3 is in nice shape, theres a weld on the end of the muzzle cap thats small and will clean up nicely and the bolt was reassmbled and welded as they put it back together neatly, they had drilled a hole in the chamber and then pluged it and built it up with weld, very clean not cut up at all.

i dont think marstar will sell you any parts for full auto without a licence for full auto
it seems he wants to limit sales to just a select few

I would phone marstar and see if he has anything in his stock pile of goodies.
HA! I called those clowns looking for a front sight for an AK to use in a project. They refused to sell one to me because "it might be used on a prohibited weapon". A SIGHT! Don't spend a red cent with those idiots.

What if you have 12-5 ?

You only need 12(5) if you're buying a live firearm. I was trying to buy this!

But yeah I suppose if you're part of the 12(X) elite you get to learn the secret handshake and buy all the front sights you want. If you're like me you find somewhere else to shop that doesn't have asinine policies.

Brutal. Make up rules and enforce them. Sounds on par for firearms businesses and beurocrats in Canada and the US.

Canada used to have lots of m3 .50's and m2 hb .50's from ww2. The military believed in them more than the 303 brownings for aircraft etc.

Im glad I got an un torched one! sounds like the survival rate was the s#its thanks to a few guys on here I have a line on all the parts. I'll try to get pics up after its assembled.

anyone able to direct me to a good exploded part by part view of the M3? im looking for info on cocking handles and the small plate that screws down ontop of the rear of the reaciver.

Strange... they sell all sorts of sten parts on the site, who did you talk to?

hmmm I have taken note that alot of the M3 guns that come up if you google them have no cocking handle due to it being a cable slide that you screw to one side or the other, im assuming you can #### it from the cockpit of the plane...I guess they didnt let the slides go with the guns when they sold them off.

No idea, some accented telephone flunky. I didn't bother pressing the matter because anyone that comes up with an excuse that stupid doesn't deserve my business.

Does sound a bit strange, I sort of understand if you were trying to buy a full auto parts kit, but the front sight? I'd have laughed on the phone and asked to speak to someone else.
