I tried my google skills but they have failed to answer my question completely.

What is the sight radius for each of the two barrels? The Internet says that the distance between the rear aperture and from sight post on the 22" barrel is 27". Anyone have any idea what it is on the 18.5" barrel? I'd prefer to buy an M305 with the shorter barrel but I'm wondering what the sit picture will look like compared to the 22" version.

As well, I've read on here that the shorter sight radius will change the size of the corrections to POI when dialling in different clicks. From what I understand 1 click up or down on the 22" barrel gives you .5MOA of adjustment at 100y, what would it be with the 18.5" barrel?

No one has an answer? If anyone has a tape measure on their shooting bench and an M305 shorty they could likely get me an answer ... Pretty please

The rear sight is still in the same spot, so the shorty would have a sight radius that's 3.5" shorter, or 23.5" overall.

I picked up a M305S with the 18.5 inch barrel this weekend and just measured it. It is 23.5 inches. I am not sure how the shorter barrel will affect sight adjustment but I will try to figure it out next weekend.

That's what my guess was going to be, what with the barrel being 3.5" shorter.

I had made the same assumption as well but wanted to be sure. Thanks folks!

I am still curious about the sight adjustments with the shorter barrel.

"...how the shorter barrel will affect..." The muzzle blast and noise is more important. I wouldn't worry about the sight adjustments. The loss of velocity isn't that much.

I've read that in a few different places. I'm surprised such a small difference in barrel length would have such an effect on noise / muzzle blast.
