M305-a with Magpul ak mags.... Any luck?

Hey all, I inherited a M305a from a friend, and thought, oh hey! A sale on Magpul. I bought a bunch of their ak mags, thinking it was a great idea. Turns out they don't feed. I think they are too flexible, and the m14 action squeezes the feed lips together. Anyone have any experience with this? Also; the bolt catch does not hold the bolt open. I've been researching some fixes, but any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

That's the plan. I do have some steel mags, and they do work fine. Gonna order more. As for the bolt catch; that's what I was thinking too! The m14 does have a bolt catch though, it just barely reaches to bolt and it slips off. Maybe that's how they made these?

M305's bolt catches in my experience have always been a bit poorly made seems like they used a much softer metal or treatment.
I've never bothered to replace mine but i'd imagine an aftermarket or M14 one would fair better.
