M305 and brass ...

Its been over a year since I've owned an M305 and I didn't have it long at that. I can't remember if the M305 ruins brass upon ejection. My XCR sometimes dents the mouth of case or dents the sidewall of the case. Is this the case with the M305 as well?

Maybe a little but basically not.

Only way to be sure is to go shoot it. Eh

Just got back from shooting the m305 and I save all the brass , no problems reloading the casings multiple times

Next step is buy one as soon as I free up some funds via some EE sales.

My shorty has been very nice to brass, very little stretch at all. The shorty is pretty gentle to the brass as well.

Perhaps a touch of case mouth 'ding', but nothing of consequence.

Excellent. I should have an M305 in the mail shortly. Will go out and pick up some Winchester white-box that I can use for brass.

Sometimes you get a little flattening on the neck but it comes out in the die no problem.

Check your headspace as well if you plan on reloading, or limit your brass to 4 firings per case

I like to paint my primers with different colours (or nailpolish teehee) just so I know which reload I'm on for the brass casing. Nothing makes a party ###ier than rainbow coloured ammo and some of those dogs wearing panties

My 2009 Polytec M305 and my new SA M1A both nice enough to the brass to use it again! No worries!
