So I take apart the bolt today on the m305 to give things a nice cleaning and lube and there is no way in gods green earth I am getting the extractor to go back in. I have the cut out side of the ejector oriented to the right and using a 3008 casing in the chamber to compress that home and looking down the hole from the top side of the bolt the hole is nice and round (firing pin and ejector plunger are NOT interfering with the "pin" of the extractor).
What I am seeing is the ball and spring of the extractor spring sticking out like crazy far so the cammed surface of the extractor does not engage the balled end of the spring. To me it almost looks like a spring loop (or two) can be removed to make things go back together. Any ideas or insight are welcome on this.
