 Most appologies..........

I never payed attention to the 308/7.62X51 thing because I never came across 7.62 ammo.

Well now my local WSS has American Eagle 7.62X51 ammo for a decent price per box.

So can I use this stuff which has a 168 grain OTM bullet in for my M305?

I have read that a 150 grain is what the M14 was designed to use. American Eagle also has a 150 FMJ for a $1.00 more per box in 308.

Dont forget -

Clean the boomstick with boiling ammonia so it wont rust to powder overnight -

762x51 is military - any military might be CORROSIVE !!!

By the way

Where can I get American Eagle 7.62x51 ?

I've only seen it in .308 . (red box)

By the way - I dont use boiling ammonia - Windex works great.

feed the piggies

the only problem i have ever had was keeping the damn thing fed!!!!:D:ar15:

and it eat everthing i throw in the tank, federal, winchester, UMC, remmington, surplus( if you can find it), i was going to try some sellier&bellot next:D

This ammo is made specifically for these guns. Buy it and shoot it, bonus is that it's non corrosive. I've been trying to find out if this ammo would make it into Canada or not. I have to keep an eye out for it now.

"...any military might be CORROSIVE..." Not NATO ammo. Not American Eagle(Federal) either.
"...a 150 grain..." 147, but a 150 is close enough.

Pick up a case Max - the 168 shoots great in the M14...and FFS people, this is new US production ammo, not old Czech surplus....
