m305 in black

can someone tell me why I can see some beautiful m305 with the action and barrel BLACK in the piucture gallery !! does it come stock like this ?

because i can only find m305 with a gray action and barrel collored ... and I do not like this I WANT A BLACK ONE

do I need to cerakote ?

I picked my M305 up from Canadian Tire the way it came outa the crate and its all black... Just kidding not black like my sr22 or even blued like my marlin 30 30. it must be an aftermarket thing to get it blackened

The grey parkerizing is actually much more durable and a quality finish.
The blackish parkerizing comes on the 2009 "bell lifestyles imported" rifles and while it looks purdy... It rubs off easy.
Cerakote, arma coat, dura coat and aluma hyde are all quality finishes and some are availlable thru a few CGN dealers.

I can vouch for this. Once I'm done bedding and finishing my Boyds walnut, I want to re-park everything for a cleaner more uniform look. I'm thinking Arma-Coat.

Depending on how long you leave parts in the solution has an effect on the darkness..............I have parkerized a few parts and had them come out in a nice TRW Black.............

For the ultimate finish you parkerize first and then the Cerakote gets baked on. Did that for my sticks and they come out a nice dark TRW black.

The Chinese parkerizing ain't nowhere near as nice as a properly done USGI park job....it also depends on what was used to strip the old finish off in the blasting cabinet. Different media causes a different finish
