try to find someone or a gunsmith who know about m-14, maybe you missed something and it is the cause of your problem. if there is nothing to do then you should consider destroying or properly dispose of it, you shouldn't mess around with an unsafe firearm.
if you still decide to sell it, at least be honest with whoever is asking about your rifle.

just my 2cents,

be safe.

I'll give ya $100 for it :nest:

If you do end up posting it for sale, please be honest to the buyer.

Also, why not give it a good, full, complete strip down (including the bolt), clean thouroughly, lube and reassemble, then try a box of 150 grain factory ammo (a good brand, like remington) with the scope mount off, and try other magazines as well.

Sry my first post was kinda quick and missing alot of info.First that gun is safe it's a matter of fine tuning ,i had about five stove pipes out of 100 .0 problems until i put the Sadlak mount, wich i did 2 days ago,i was at the gun range with PerversPépère ,he is on CGN and for that guy no gun on earth has a secret for him,so even him said bahhhh don't worry were gonna fix this, its nothing!

I was ending up like that

But even if its a minor tuning problems i've lost interest in that gun .I'm a Red rifles guy tasting the M14 :D

And for sure i'm gonna shoot the crap out of it :ar15: without the scope on it before i do anything.
I'm not the type of guy who sell something with dark secret....................;)

And i used 3 kind of ammo
-MFS FMJ
-Czech Surplus
-Winchester Power Max 150 gr php

This is a know problem - though usually with ARMS #18 mount - a fix some people do is to cut a coil or two to change the angle/speed of extraction. Others find the problem goes away with a change of ammo funnily enough. It isn't a big deal at the range but if using it in service or in a match or on a hunt the story may be different.

Tighten up the gas cylinder plug ??

Grease on the op rod is visible. Grease up the op rod and bolt lugs?

Cut a couple of coils off the ejector spring?

Keep us in the loop! This is not a tough problem! :D

There ya go the mount is in the bag!And there to stay:D Tomorrow i'm gonna feed it alot of rds with PerversPépère with me to be my witness i don't wanna look like a guy who wants to sell a defective rifle!

I'm gonna try to trade it for a Remington SPS Tactical in .308 wich i was suppose to get instead of the M305 that i bought at the gun show for the kick of it, or Savage well anything bolt action with a bull barrel or just grab the money and buy a shinny new one.

can't fault a guy for being realistic with himself over his firearms choices. these rifles aren't for everyone and that's okay. It's far better to enjoy the rifle you own rather than have no confidence in it's function.

as for the pics..... would seem to be a minor issue and not one that would prevent me from buying it..... though i'm not looking to buy another rifle. Got 80 acres to buy so am liquidating LOL

Y'know,

I put an el' cheapo NC Star scope mount (Chinese of course) missing a washer an the whole deal (see earlier posts) but damn, no stove pipes or anything like that. She shoots like a dream...just hates Remy core lokt ammo.

:D :nest:

I've seen the "culprit" and it is a very clean, neat firearm. If the problems happened with the mounting of a scope, I'm tempted to say let's have a look at the mount, hmmm?.
Could the front part of that Sadlak touch the exiting brass sometimes and slow it just enough to be caught by the returning breech?
I see a place full of brass marks on that mount where a good 45 degree chamfer could work wonders.
Also, can you tell me more about that ejector spring, please, Hungry.
Thanks for the tips.
PP. :)

shorten the springs in the bolt to USGI length and the issue will go away. Alternately, drop in some M1A springs from Brownells.

I spoke with Mark? at 762mm and he mentioned how the M1A springs are bought from China (to his knowledge from Wang Industries or something like that) and made a joke that they may be the same springs that Norinco used in their bolts.

I wouldn't be surprised.

If you want some USGI springs, 762mm manufactures them to the USGI specs and I plan on buying some if I get any stovepiping issues with an ARM 18 mount.

Or you could just cut the coils on your existing springs, but I LOVE spending money :HR:
