I just ordered a the Rooster33 op rod spring guide. Should I upgrade to a op rod spring also? Where should I get the upgrade spring from? Or should I just stay with the M305 spring? Thanks guys.

I just talked to Laszlo (noon Wpg time, Wed, March 22) and ordered the op rod spring guide and bolt release. He said both items are in stock. He also said the oem NorcM305 spring is ok.

Ok, Scotty with the sharp eye, I edited it to the correct date now.:)

Has anybody heard from Laszlo (Rooster33) I have been waiting for over a month for my items. Tried PM but got no responce.

Yeah, join the club! PM or email... no response.

I've been waiting like three weeks, so I guess I'm not alone! :(

I have both a USGI spring and a Norinco spring along with a rooster33 spring guide and I really can't tell the difference between the two once everything's all assembled. Maybe someone really picky might.

Thank you Steiner, i just ordered a rooster 33 op rod spring guide as well, looks sweet and hope it's worth the $71.07can and he also said the norinco op springs are the strongest and most durable over all others apperantly due matterials they are made of, so to stick with the stock spring. and for all you other M-14 freaks out there if you have trouble finding recoil buffers i can set you's up with a supplier out of saskatewan. They sell them 2 for $10.00can and $3.50 shipping to anywere in canada and they are great and last long.

Thanx again, Hans

How much better will a M14 or M305 shoot with an upgraded op-rod spring guide and/or spring?
Is it worthwhile or does it just look good?

well, to be truthful i don't know, but i will be the first to let yahs know, it is suppose to increase your accuracy over long range as it reduces vibration in the action by smothing out the stroke of the op rod itself. So i guess i will find out and let yahs know in a few weeks. Till then..

I'm not too sure about the accuracy increase, but it definitely makes the action work a bit smoother.

It will make your rifle more consistent, there for more aaccurate shot to shot!
With the semi's the more you can do to make them do the same thing every time you pull the trigger , all the better! With the stock spring guide the spring never compress's the same from shot to shot, the rooster guide help's to make it close to the same every time!
