Hey there m14 gurus has anyone done a norinco m305 re barrel ? From all of my readings here it seems that Evan the worst norinco could be fixed with a new barrel to get proper head space and straight splines ex. I know this would not make it shoot sub MOA or anything ... What would it cost " just curious " to have a crition barrel put on and have the bolt laped ?

I've got a Gaillard Medium Contour Stainless barrel with a custom gas system and scope mount installed by a smith in Calgary. Still working up loads but promising.

Have there been norincos that come out so wonkey that a new barrel would be the only way to make it right ?I would not change a barrel unless there was a good reason to , say it was shot out , head space so bad that it can't be fixed or if the gas system splines were cut way out to lunch so the operating system was all crooked , the fix would be a new barrel ???? I know most would take the cheap rout and just buy a new gun and have a parts gun

You obviously have not read the sticky's about doing exactly what your asking about. See Scullboy's posts...
